This was a much looked forward to, and long planned special treat for us. We both always wanted to visit the Maldives but had been put off by the prices. We looked at so many accommodation options to try and select the right one for us, and eventually we decided we would be loyal to our favoured Marriott Bonvoy brands. Then we had many options including W, St Regis, Sheraton and Westin but after watching endless videos and reading reviews decided the JW Marriott was the one that suited us best. We managed to use a load of Bonvoy Points for the booking and chose an Overwater Sunrise Villa. We communicated a few times before our arrival with questions about our stay and the responses were always timely and helpful. We arrived at the international airport and were met by the JW Representative who whisked us through the airport to the Seaplane terminal, checked us in and handed us over to the Trans Maldivian Airline Representatives. The arrangements were so well organised and having seen the chaos at the airport we were so happy to have the help. Our arrival at the Hotel was lovely, a group of staff greeted us warmly and we were introduced to our Butler Naajah. He took us on a short tour of the island and then to our villa A148. The Villa was well appointed and everything was clean and well maintained. The attention to detail was obvious. Air conditioning that worked well, curtains that locked out the light, and an abundance of towels and other amenities including bottled water and coffee making facilities. We spent a week here and felt very well looked after. Naajah and all the staff called us by name, and really cared about how we were. All the staff were pleasant and we did not have a single negative experience. The food in Aalia which is where we ate most meals was exceptional. Breakfast buffet catered for all tastes with Western and Asian dishes and the usual egg station. The evening menu is vast and we tried many items and never disappointed. The Chef was so attentive and regularly checked if we were ok and recommended dishes he thought we should try. The Thai treehouse restaurant Kaashi was delightful, and a great place for lunch. The Horizon Bar was a great place to enjoy the sunset, and the lovely barmen there let us sample a different cocktail every evening, fabulous! Although we were told the resort was almost full we never felt like we were part of a crowd and it was mostly so lovely and quiet everywhere. The Aailaa singers that entertained us at dinner were lovely, they sang a very diverse list of music though at times I thought they may have hacked in to my personal Playlist, a real treat. I would love to list every member of staff that made our stay so special, but it would be impossible, but Mohit the GM should be proud of his team, without exception they made us feel special. My wife and I are fortunate to travel quite often for pleasure as well as myself traveling for business all over the United States. We have never experienced a more incredible property than the JW Marriott in the Maldives that we recently stayed at. The level of training that the staff has is impeccable along with the quality of the food, amenities, and just the personality and outgoingness of your staff really left us in awe. I am not one to write reviews and most of the time if it’s a great and a positive experience my wife and I will decide to visit there again but rarely do I write a review whether a property is good or bad but I can’t even begin to tell you how incredible the staff and property made this vacation for my wife and I. From the welcome ceremony when we arrived on the sea plane to the farewell sendoff we received leaving the property. I can’t say enough about it. We looked forward to speaking with the staff every day and learning about them and sharing a little bit about our family as well. We would like to recognize a few members of your staff that went out of their way to speak to us every day and make our vacation incredibly enjoyable. We would like to recognize Satyam in the Rum Bhann, Manish your Bar Manager, Natasha our incredible Butler, Danish your Executive pastry Chef, Sameera The Chef in your Steakhouse, Reena & Ita as well in your steakhouse, Mohamed, our housekeeper and James in you teppanyaki restaurant. These members of the staff went out of their way daily to speak to my wife and I and ensure daily that our vacation was perfect and we wanted for nothing. We will be back again in two years and we are already counting down the days. Thank you for exceeding our wildest expectations.

Warm welcoming from the hotel staff with warm applause right after our seaplane landed at the resort. Beautiful and clean environment. We were surrounded by the natural garden and ocean. But I’d never been bitten by a mosquito or bug while staying in this resort. We were surprised how they managed the whole resort well like this. 該島的設施十分陳舊，維護不善，特別是在沙屋住宿期間，飛螞蟻數量驚人，幾乎鋪天蓋地。晚上睡覺時，這些飛螞蟻鉆進被子里，到處都是，早上起來地板上滿是白蟻的翅膀。管理層（主要是印度籍）對這一問題敷衍了事，毫無改善措施。每天下午全島都會大面積噴灑殺蟲劑，煙霧彌漫，既影響空氣質量，也對健康構成威脅。前三個晚上幾乎無法入睡，整個度假體驗完全被惡劣的環境毀掉，極度失望！ The island’s facilities are extremely outdated and poorly maintained. During our stay in the beach villa, we were overwhelmed by swarms of flying ants. At night, these insects crawled into the bedding, making it impossible to sleep, and every morning, the floor was covered with termite wings. The management, primarily run by Indians, was dismissive and made no effort to improve the situation. Every afternoon, the entire island was engulfed in thick pesticide smoke, which not only polluted the air but also posed serious health risks. We couldn’t sleep for the first three nights, and our entire vacation was completely ruined by these terrible conditions. Extremely disappointing!

這是一個盲盒旅行，基於對萬豪的信任選擇了這個島，果然萬豪從未讓人失望，隨手拍都是頂級大片，無一不美；餐食也很合口味，主餐廳品種豐富齊全，服務到位，泰餐廳更是口味驚喜；島上活動豐富，落日海釣讓人沉醉；我們的管家saddaam是個英俊的黑人小夥兒，聰明機靈，反應快，服務周到，期間除了各種接送安排外出活動，更是幫我解決了曬傷問題、找回我落在沙屋的衣服，讓人既暖心又有濃濃的安全感。回來兩天了，馬代美景讓人心心念念，應該還會再去吧…
